The update

What was announced

xTool has introduced the M2 as a desktop craft system that combines full-color CMYK printing, laser cutting and engraving in one workflow. The company offers 10 W and 20 W diode-laser configurations.

According to xTool, the M2 has a 426 × 320 mm working area, dual-camera positioning and an enclosed Class 1 design. Optional modules extend the system to infrared marking and rotary work.

The pitch is simple: fewer trips between a printer and a separate cutter. For stickers, packaging, signs and personalized products, that could remove one fiddly alignment step.

Atlas assessment

M2 is a print-and-cut machine, not a direct replacement for a higher-power production laser. It stays out of our comparison catalog until alignment accuracy, ink cost, throughput and material compatibility have independent test data.
