The update

What was announced

Revopoint announced Windows Revo Scan 6 version 6.4.1 on 12 October. The release adds raw point-cloud editing, PLY import and export for global markers, a marker-quality indicator and a control for removing isolated points during fusion.

The manufacturer also lists texture mapping for laser-scanned models using secondary smartphone or DSLR photos. POP 4 laser scanning in Color Tracking mode requires firmware v5.3.99 or later and a PC with a dedicated graphics card.

The download page lists MIRACO Plus among supported Revo Scan 6 devices, but not every new mode applies to every scanner. Its Windows package is x86_64-only; the page separately lists macOS version 6.3.2. Do not assume feature parity across platforms.

Atlas assessment

Editing and export changes can affect a workshop’s scan-to-model workflow. Check the release requirements for the exact scanner and host before updating; these manufacturer notes do not establish better dimensional accuracy or performance.
