Start with the process

Laser work can create fumes and fire risk. CNC work can create chips, fine dust and noise. Scanning spray introduces its own handling instructions. These are different problems and should not share one vague “air filter” answer.

Contain, capture and exhaust

A useful setup keeps the hazard from spreading, captures it near the source and moves it somewhere appropriate. The exact equipment depends on the material, machine and local requirements.

Know what the enclosure does

An enclosure can reduce access to moving parts or laser radiation and help contain debris. It does not replace ventilation, fire monitoring or the instructions for the material being processed.
