Plan the whole workshop footprint

The machine is only part of the space. Doors, stock, a computer, extraction and safe access all need room.

Draw the working envelope

Add the machine body, open doors, gantry movement, material feed and room for tool changes. Then mark where the operator stands. A compact product can still demand a wide working zone.

Place support work nearby

Most jobs need a computer, measuring tools, raw stock and somewhere to inspect or finish the part. Give those steps a place before the machine arrives.

Treat dust and fumes as a layout decision

Extraction works best when the route is short, intentional and suitable for the process. Follow the machine manual and applicable workplace rules rather than assuming an enclosure removes the need for control.
