From one good prototype to a small batch

A repeatable fixture and a timed workflow matter more than one impressive test piece.

Freeze the process

Save the final file, tool or material settings, fixture position and inspection notes. If the second run starts from memory, the process is not ready for a customer deadline.

Measure the whole job

Record preparation, machine time, cleanup, rejects, finishing and packing. The slowest step may sit nowhere near the machine.

Scale with evidence

Run a short paid-size batch before buying a second machine. The result will show whether capacity, setup or demand is the actual constraint.

Put it into practice
