Free tool · Laser materials
Choose the material before the laser.
Select the blank and the job. This gives a source-level starting point, not a promise of compatibility: formulation, thickness, coatings, settings and extraction still need confirmation.
How to use this result
Source first. Exact stock second.
- Diod is a common entry point for compatible wood, leather and selected dark or opaque blanks.
- CO2 covers a broader range of compatible non-metals and is the usual desktop route for clear acrylic.
- Fiber is the specialist route for direct marking and engraving on many bare metals, not a general sheet-metal cutter.
- Unknown material is a stop sign. Do not process PVC, unidentified plastics, coatings or composites before the composition and machine guidance confirm it is appropriate.
Read the full source comparison, browse material guides, or use the machine finder once you know the process.
